Read below for these free project instructions.

Supplies Needed:

**Two pieces of fabric - a bit
larger than your hoop

**Small pieces of fabric -
for applique pieces

**Temporary spray adhesive

**Medium weight cutaway
stabilizer

**Ribbon

**Pinking shears

First, spray a piece of medium weight cutaway stabilizer with temporary adhesive and smooth the fabric on top (the fabric that you are embroidering the applique onto). Then, hoop the fabric and stabilizer together, attach the hoop to the machine, and embroider the design according to these instructions click here for Crafty Cut Applique instructions.

To create the backside of the ornament, mirror the design using embroidery software (like Embird, for example) or with your embroidery machine. Then, embroider the design just as you did the first one, on a second piece of fabric.

Spray the backside of one of the embroidered pieces with temporary adhesive.

Align the embroidered pieces with the wrong sides together. Align the edges of the embroidery together.

Cut around edges of the designs leaving about 1/2 inch of fabric

Create the ornament loop by cutting an 8 inch length of ribbon. Bring the ends of the ribbon together to form a loop. Peel apart the top layers of the ornament, spray the ends of the loop with adhesive, and insert the raw end of the loop in between the layers of fabric. Then, press the fabric back into place

Sew a 1/4 inch seam around the outer edges of the ornament - this finishes the edges and attaches the loop.

The project is complete !
